Urdu Naats Sharif

Urdu Naat sharif is a Persian name of a poem that is said in praise of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Naat Khawani is a source of devotional catharsis and the most popular forms of poetry among Muslims; Beloved Prophet himself another form of poetry, but by love for poetry “Naat” has became the most preferred among Muslims.
Many famous poets in the early days of Islam wrote Naat Sharif. Naats is sung with great joy and love for the Prophet. It is considered as an art. Only recently its being emerged as a kind orthodox enough activity, it is a peaceful affair, and people love to participate and organize NAAT Khuwanis. People who recite NAAT is known as Sana or NAAT-Khuwan.
It is difficult to put together history chapters of NAAT Khawani because no one confirmed record when got started to find. Although a regularized work has began by companion of Muhammad Hassan ibn Thabit. He was is also known as Shair-ee-Darbaar Risalat. Before his entrance in Islam, he was a poet but after coming inside the circle of Islam, he gave a new turn to his poetry and began writing NAAT in honor of Muhammad (Peace be upon him) He was famous for his poetry that work in the defense of Muhammad in response to rival poets that attacked Him and Islam.
Islamic poetry is rich in paying tribute to of Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is rare that any Muslim poet who does not write on Holy Prophet. It is all mainly inspired by Islamic values that each act in this regard would result in ten times the blessing of God is praise.
Addressing the young generation, Reknowned Sana khwan Muhammad owais raza qadri advises that naat khawani is worship and before reciting any naat shareef it is essential to collect some knowledge about it and special care should be taken to ensure that it is not objectionable by Islamic Shariah. It is best to check all naats with a learned scholar. Furthermore, they should restrain from such acts which can be criticized by others.
They should be true and practical Muslims, i.e. not that talking about love for the Holy Prophet (sallallahoalyhaywaalliwssalam). And murdering the sunnah of the Holy Prophet (sallallahoalyhaywaalliwssalam) by shaving off the beard and not showing regularity in daily prayers.
Undoubtedly success lies within the fact that we must walk on the path guided to us by Allah Rabb-Ul Aalameen and the Holy Prophet (sallallahoalyhaywaalliwssalam), leave the way of strangers and always believe in death. Acquire adequate knowledge of Islam and recite at least one Ruku of the Holy Quran with translation.
